Why Families Love Star Ridge Stables

Hi, I’m Stella Prescott — founder of Star Ridge Stables here in Selma, NC.
When I created Star Ridge Stables, my dream was to give kids a place where they could learn, grow, and feel at home with horses. Over the years I’ve watched campers arrive shy and unsure, and leave with confidence, new skills, and friendships they’ll carry for life.
Our Summer Day & Overnight Horse Camps are more than just riding lessons, they’re a safe, welcoming space where kids can discover the magic of horses, learn responsibility, and have fun outdoors while being guided by caring, certified instructors.
It’s my passion and my promise to make every camper feel supported, encouraged, and proud of what they accomplish. I can’t wait to welcome your child to the barn this summer!
